291 Items Officially Decluttered Since March, 2013

A fake shell, excellent for displaying jewelry in a booth
or for use as a soap dish for those
decorative little soaps.

Here I go again, getting the clutter gathered for taking out of the house.  This is getting more fun and much closer to my goal.  How I would love to be at 352 items decluttered by Christmas -- only 61 more things to go.

The picture grouping here is a grouping of kitty items.  They do count as clutter, since I am not going to save them for future cats.  Also, there are the items that I will list in addition to these:  a small litter box, that fits in a small crate; dry cat food, canned cat food, a toy that dangled from a rod, cat pan liners, a cat scoop, a sample flea medication, a nice cardboard cat carrier, and a box of cat litter.  Since we no longer plan to have kittens,  these things are, indeed, clutter.  It definitely fits into the definition of something you will not use, that is easily replaceable, nor do I love any of these items.

Chipping Away the Clutter

One scissor tip cover
that always falls off.

This isn't much, but every little bit counts.  Also, I have been taking some things a little slow this summer, and doing a little more of others.  Decluttering hasn't been big on my list, but I keep chipping away, little by little.

140 Items have been decluttered.
Can I get to 225 before the end of the year?

Stay tuned -- I think I can.  Can you?

I do have the other shaker.  I washed it last week, and I
can't remember where I put it.  But by the time I have my
garage sale, I will have found it -- I hope.  Oh!  About
the garage sale -- they are work, but it will help offset
vacation costs, a little bit -- I hope!

114 Items Decluttered!
The bad thing about going through clutter is sometimes it makes a mess;  but I am gaining room to put items I want, so that is a good thing.  Today was fun, because it brought back good memories;  and, I decided to try a creative project with something I was about to toss.  I will show my creative project in Deborah Lynne's Inspirations -- I'm not finished yet.  If it looks horrible, you may never see it.  And then again, I suppose horrible is in the eye of the beholder.

Ten More Items Disappear to Places Unknown, Items 76 - 85

Items 76 -85,  Making headway!
I have a major cache going here.  I have not counted up how many days
from January 1 have gone by in 2013, but I want to be caught up, so I
can be sure to have decluttered 365 things by the end of next December.
I supposed if I counted every little piece of paper, it would be a lot more, but that would be nitpicking.

Really how many bowls should one keep?  That chip holder that went with this bowl is broken.  It is just taking up room, and I keep moving it around.  And, I don't like it anymore.

    1. Books galore are going.  And you don't know how challenging it is for me to get rid of my books.  The criteria I am using is did I ever finish it.
    2. Have I read it more than once?
    3. Will my DH read it?
    4. How long has it been sitting where it does not belong?
    5. Will I read it again?
    6. Is it a book that visitor's might pick up to read?

This is a honey bowl, I bought to be a sugar bowl.  The spoon
does not fit where the little hole is on the edge of the lid.

This counts.  I have been throwing
    miscellaneous clutter in it,
    that I haven't photographed.

I am even throwing away wrinkled Christmas bags now.
I usually save them all, but this was
handy to stuff other things in.  I am counting it as one.

    It's just stuff! ~Days 4, 5, & 6

Today, I walked through the dining room coming back to my living room from the kitchen, and I felt tired, with an achy back.  Then, I straightened my posture, and  I said, "I will not give up!  It is just stuff."

    Here are Days 4, 5, and 6:

one ugly frame with a quilt pattern

3 plates someone else might enjoy
    1 bedskirt in excellent shape

I hope someone enjoys these items.  All except one, gave me pleasure.
