Less Shoes - Less Pain Day 15

If you are curious why I am getting rid of all these shoes, it is because they make my knees hurt.  I like the shoes I am giving away, but my arthritic knees prefer the one or two comfortable ones I have.  It just isn't worth it to satisfy vanity and walk around in pain.

A Children's Story for all who Declutter - Days 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14

The butterfly disguised as a cluttered, older woman said, "Jump!  Jump off my table, jump out of my way.  Jump! Jump! Jump!  You will make someone else happier than you make me.  You need a new home.  With a smile on her face, she let her clutter go.
Good-bye Teddy.
 Find another child's wall.
You will be happy there.

How pleasant it is to see the clutter disappear day by day.  I have counted the posted items, which are 26 in total.  That does not even count the paper and mail clutter that has been disposed of.

Now, that wasn't so hard was it?

Each Day Lighter Days 8 & 9

Each day becomes a little lighter.  I am looking forward to seeing the accumulated effect of letting loose clutter one day at a time.

It's just stuff! ~Days 4, 5, & 6

Today, I walked through the dining room coming back to my living room from the kitchen, and I felt tired, with an achy back.  Then, I straightened my posture, and  I said, "I will not give up!  It is just stuff."

Here are Days 4, 5, and 6:

one ugly frame with a quilt pattern

3 plates someone else might enjoy
1 bedskirt in excellent shape

I hope someone enjoys these items.  All except one, gave me pleasure.

Day 3 - Heels Be Gone!

I have to admit to part of me being sad to give away heel or wedges, but they are just taking up space.  My knees say an absolute No to wearing these things.  I even have trouble with 1 inch heels, so goodbye.  C'est le vie.  (Such is life.)  And as Doris Day used to sing, "Que Sera, sera."  (whatever will be, will be).  Shoe ceremony over -- I am saving the  cute, young looking shoes for my granddaughters.  They have already played dress up in them, but I have them in shoe boxes now -- just a few more years.
